Bagnall Design Office partners with NININ Studio on Building Design projects. Through this collaboration, specialist services in Passivhaus design, energy modelling and building performance can be included to suit the project and the brief.

Our Process

    Begin with the home

    We talk about how you live, what you want to change and what you want to keep. A visit helps us understand the building and its possibilities. Together, we establish the brief, budget and timing, then set out our scope and fees in a proposal.

    Find the direction

    We explore layouts, references and initial ideas for materials and furnishings. You might recognise the feeling you want before you can quite describe it. Drawings and visual references give us something to discuss, compare and refine together.

    Work through the detail

    The design becomes more specific: the kitchen layout, a joinery detail, the stone beside a fabric. We develop the drawings, gather samples and work through selections with you, so you can understand how the rooms will look and function before decisions are finalised.

    Prepare for the work

    We coordinate the approvals and specialist input required, and prepare the detailed information for builders and makers. We help you review pricing and understand what is included. Furniture and pieces with longer lead times are considered early, with orders planned around the project.

    Follow it through

    During construction, we visit the site, answer questions and work through details with the builder and trades. We keep you informed as the work progresses and help you understand any decisions or changes that need your attention.

  • 06

    Put things in place

    We coordinate deliveries and installation, bringing furniture, lighting, curtains and art into the finished rooms. New pieces sit alongside those you’ve kept. We attend to the final arrangement and follow up on outstanding details as the home becomes yours to settle into.
